Set within the King's ForestKing's Forest

Wideham Farm has a purpose-built equine facilities incorporating the old re-built barn with stables and turnouts, self-catering Holiday Homes, Glamping Pods and camping with electric hookup. 

Wideham is set in 90 acres with immediate access to Kings Forest, it offers a wonderful opportunity to ride, walk and cycle in the forest all year round.  Located in West Stow, Suffolk, 5 miles from Bury St Edmunds and 12 miles from the horse-racing town of Newmarket.

5* Stables and post and railed turnouts are available for your horses.

If you want peace, quiet and tranquility, on horseback, cycling or walking, whether your visit is short or long you have just found it, come see for yourself!

Why not try one of our two self-catering Glamping Pods.  Available for one night or more, both have two single beds with mattresses, a small fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave.  There is a dedicated shower and toilet pod next door specially for you.  Sit outside, enjoy the sunset and watch your horse in its post and rail turnout with a glass of bubbles.    Children and dog friendly!

‘Park & Ride’ or even ‘Park & Drive’

You can leave your horse transportation in a dedicated enclosed parking area where you will also find the gate straight in to the forest. Get ready for a stress-free ride while you explore the Kings forest or Icknield Way from our facility.

Unload and load-up in a safe place;  no-where near a road or other parked cars, especially handy for the horse that decides its had so much of a good time he doesn’t want to go home!

Use of picnic benches, loo, mounting blocks, water and horse hose, and maps of the forest supplied too.  Carriages welcome, as are well behaved dogs. 

(Please keep your dogs on a lead at all times while on the property.)

Whilst we offer safe parking but we ask all vehicles are locked when left unsupervised.  (Vehicles and contents are left at the owners risk)

No need to book, just rock up!


£2 per car for cars accompanying Park & Ride customers. 

HGV1 horse boxes will be charged £15 per visit.
